About the HR Profession

The Human Resources (HR) Profession is dedicated to building and uplifting strategic HR skills across the APS. 

The profession helps to set and promote professional standards for HR in the APS and provide opportunities for HR professionals to connect.

The work of the HR Profession is informed by public, private, domestic and international best practice. 

This work includes:

  • delivering learning content
  • partnering with the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI)
  • defining the APS HR Profession’s Pathways to Professionalisation.
