Congratulations to Marisa Purvis-Smith who is appointed as the new co-Head of the APS Procurement and Contract Management Profession.

Marisa from the Department of Finance, joins Julia Pickworth from the Department of Industry, Science and Resources to this key leadership role.

The Procurement and Contract Management Profession connects practitioners who manage contracts and procurement activities across government.

As demands on government grow in complexity it is essential to ensure the APS workforce of the future is ready to meet these challenges.

We welcome Marisa’s expertise and leadership in driving evidence-based decision making and her planned contribution to lifting procurement and contract management capability.

Together with Julia, Marisa will lead the growth of the profession in embedding core procurement and contract management capability.
